The ASP Sentry Hinge Handcuffs represent a significant advancement in restraint technology, offering premium features at an accessible value. Unlike traditional stamped steel cuffs, the Sentry series utilizes a two-piece precision forged frame inspired by rigidized I-beams. This stainless steel construction provides incredible strength without the excessive bulk of older designs. With a bead-blasted finish and radiused edges, these cuffs are engineered to be safer for both the officer and the subject, reducing the risk of injury and associated liability.
Features
-
Forged Steel Bows: High-contact, conical bows are forged from heat-treated steel and feature flat contact areas for more precise and safer application on the wrist.
-
Dual-Sided Access: Features dual-sided keyways and double-lock slots, allowing the officer to apply or remove the restraints quickly regardless of the cuff's orientation.
-
Smooth Swing Technology: A precision roller bearing pivot ensures a hitch-free, smooth bow swing for rapid, one-motion application.
-
Safe Adjustment System: A single-direction key turn releases both the double lock and the bow, facilitating "loosen and lock" adjustments without removing the key.
-
Injury Prevention: Every frame and bow is manufactured to eliminate sharp edges and rough surfaces, directly addressing common causes of subject discomfort and department liability claims.
-
NIJ Compliant: Fully meets NIJ Standard 0307.01 for strength, corrosion resistance, and tamper resistance.
