The ASP Ultra Chained Steel Bow Training Handcuffs are purpose-built training restraints that mirror the fit, function, and handling of their operational counterparts. Designed to be cased, carried, and deployed exactly like duty cuffs, they allow realistic training without compromising safety.
Finished in a high-visibility red, these restraints are instantly identifiable as training aids while still supporting authentic law enforcement handcuffing techniques. They apply using the standard rock-and-lock procedure and can be rapidly removed using the rotary release method. For progressive restraint instruction, the cuffs can also be double locked, requiring a key for removal once engaged.
ASP’s training-specific pawl design disengages under continuous back pressure, allowing safely cuffed students to release themselves by rolling the wrists—ideal for high-repetition drills and controlled training environments.
