Built from 100% fine Australian Merino wool at a serious 230gsm weight, the Alpine230 Men's Merino Long Sleeve Thermal Top in Black is a premium thermal base layer for alpine hikers, outdoor users, military personnel, hunters, and active operators. Merino wool acts as a natural thermo-regulator - keeping you cool in warmer conditions and warm in cold ones - making this top a genuine year-round base layer rather than a single-season piece. The 20.5 micron fibre delivers softness against the skin with no itch, while the natural breathability of Merino prevents the clammy build-up that comes with synthetic base layers.

Woolmark Certified and Oeko-Tex 100 Certified, the Alpine230 meets independent standards for fibre quality and chemical safety. The interlock knit construction adds durability and structure, while raglan sleeve construction delivers extra range of motion through the shoulders. Thumb gussets at the cuffs lock the sleeves in place under jackets and gloves, and flatlock seams throughout minimise chafing during extended wear or layering. The fabric is naturally odour resistant - wear it back-to-back days without the funk - and carries a UPF 50+ rating for certified sun protection during outdoor wear.
